Lance William Meier Jr, or LJ for short, is an American composer, producer, performer, voice actor, sound designer, and content creator located in Texas between Austin and Dallas.
Lance was drawn to music at a young age and spent his formative years performing in various choirs, operas, and musical theater groups. Lance had the opportunity to sing with the Dallas Youth Orchestra and in the chorus for the Waco Lyric Opera.
When Lance went to college, music made sense, and he got his first degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Vocal Performance. During this time, Lance led the bass section of the school's choir and performed as Dr. Turtlespit in Menotti's Help, Help the Globolinks, and as Pish-Tush in Gilbert and Sullivan's Mikado.
Lance also has a great love for contemporary music and is an accomplished piano and guitar player. After College, Lance transitioned into popular music, playing and singing with several blues, rock, and folk/Americana groups, as well as forming his group A Few Bucks Short.
For 20 years, Lance composed original music. Testing out his work in front of live audiences, Lance became a master at gauging audience reaction to his music while honing his songwriting craft.
Already an accomplished composer and performer, Lance decided to further his education in music to include modern music recording techniques and business practices with a degree in Music Production. Here Lance learned how to compose, mix, and master production music for television, video games, film, and more.
